COVID -19 UPDATE

As you would be aware from recent media reports across the weekend and most recently this afternoon Coronavirus, COVID-19, has impacted Football on all levels.

The recent media release from Football Federation Australia ‘today advised that, after considered discussion with its nine State and Territory Member Federations and assessment of developments today, sanctioned grassroots football competitions and associated training as well as the NPL would be suspended for the next four weeks.’

The decision will take effect from 12:00am on Wednesday, 18 March 2020 until Tuesday, 14 April 2020.

The impact this will have on the running of St Clair United Soccer Club includes the following:

• All trial games scheduled for this coming weekend, 21st and 22nd of March will be cancelled.

• Photos that were scheduled for this weekend 21st and 22nd March will be rescheduled for another weekend in the season when competition resumes at the decision of Football Federation Australia (FFA), Football NSW (FNSW)and Nepean Football Association (NFA).

• The Coaches and Managers meeting scheduled for Monday 23rd March will also be rescheduled for a time that coincides with the new negotiated start of the 2020 season.

• At this stage the potential impact on the 2020 season will be 2 – 3 rounds, however we will not know the full impact until more information is received from Nepean Football Association.
